Cuisinart DGB500BK Coffee Maker Grind And Brew

I seemed to be an owner of the first Cuisinart Grind & Brew and put on the extender so often I broke all imaginable! After years of excellent coffee, I was forced straight into looking for a new device. I read the reviews concerning the new Cuisinart DGB500BK Coffee Maker Grind And Brew and thought we would take the plunge and buy the 2nd generation model. I i’m pleased to say that it’s everything the 1st generation unit did plus a few changes. Okay, let’s take a near look at this Cuisinart DGB500BK Coffee Maker Grind And Brew beauty.

Decanter
The carafe holds about 59 oz. of water, good to get 12 – 5 oz cups. It absolutely does not dribble. This handle is well secured to the sturdy glass. Although it won’t take a direct hit coming from a hammer as Ron Popeil’s rotisserie does in the infommercial, it ought to hold up to routine each day use.

GRINDER
Nothing beats the flavor of coffee made from home ground beans and the Cuisinart really delivers. Just position the beans in the grinder basket, replace the grinder basket sport bike helmet, close the reservoir lid plus press the on button. The actual high speed blades reduce the beans to a medium routine and deposits virtually all the actual coffee into the filter holder. Yes, some grounds remain from the lid/basket assembly but the quantity is negligible. Some may find the noise of the grinder disturbing (some reviewers have referred going without running shoes as an excellent alarm wall clock). but since I need all the help I can get getting out of bed in the morning it’s a new welcomed though unadvertised “feature”. Some sort of variable grind setting would are actually nice for us purists nonetheless I suppose that would have increased the price and complexity. Nonetheless, the single medium grind in which Cuisinart provides works well. Read the rest of this entry »

Cuisinart DCC-2650 Central Programmable Coffee maker

The clock on the Cuisinart DCC-2650 Central Programmable Coffee maker is easy to set. It is a small clock; it is not too tough to read the time except for the PM indicator, which is in the upper right corner and not really well-lit.

For the primary 4 brew cycles, I used a paper filter along while using gold filter because I only agreed to be making 4 cups and failed to want the water to use up too fast. The coffee became a good strength for me its keep was no overflow or other concerns. When I made more as compared to 4 cups, I did definitely not use the gold filter (merely the paper) and the coffee was just the way I like the Cuisinart DCC-2650 Central Programmable Coffee maker.

The finish is a great metal-looking finish; Cuisinart DCC-2650 Central Programmable Coffee maker is plastic but looks like metal. It does not make finger prints as stainless steel does and is particularly easy to keep clean. An instant wipe with a damp fabric cleans it easily.

I feel the instructions say to employ 1 tablespoon scoop per mug. I use 1 heaping tbsp for every two cups and the works for me…this can be a matter of personal taste. When you like a really strong gourmet coffee, you will use more flavored coffee. Note: I have not tested out the “Bold” setting because I would not require a “Bold” taste. I prefer it hefty, but not vivid.

The beeping sound made because of this unit is very soft/tranquil. Compared to my previous component (a Kenmore), it is just about un-noticable. I have employed the automatic brew setting with regard to 4 of the 8 days of using this coffee maker and also the beeping did not wake myself from sleep. I could used my previous unit as a security clock. Read the rest of this entry »
